This function operates on current selection : current idea and all its children. Confirmation is required before deleting.

Note : removing an idea cannot be undone ; it may be more secure to use Cut and Paste functions.

Another possibility is offered to recover from an imprudent deletion : click on an idea, and press Ctrl+R ("Re-paste destroyed ideas"), even if cut/copy/paste functions were used meanwhile.
