You may use WIT to acquire chosen information, store it and retrieve it later while its origin is kept in the software (for instance, if you copy some extracts of web pages – text and images – the originating links will be kept for further reference).

While doing so, you organize, classify, annotate, enrich and evaluate your information (using the tree structure, keywords or faceted classifications, visual indexes etc.).

This proceeds in your mind of a double movement of exteriorization (while selecting and storing information), and of interiorization (as you organize and index it): eventually, this makes you understand and think.
